Pharmacy
Team
Our
compounding team consists only of certified pharmacy technicians. Each
have post secondary training through Red Deer College or equivalent
and / or AB Pharmacy Technician Certification. All dispensary and compounding
activities are supervised by pharmacists. Our pharmacists are also available
to answer and research your compounding questions. |
Quality
Assurance
Strathcona Prescription Centre has made every effort to ensure the highest
quality compounded medications are prepared by using at minimum USP
(United States Pharmacopoeia) grade active pharmaceutical ingredients
(API). All compounds are double checked by two Certified Pharmacy Technicians
and the final check is performed by one of our pharmacists. Each of
the inactive and active pharmaceutical ingredient(s) are weighed and
a printout of the weight is recorded and attached to each prescription
with the respective lot number of the API(s) or corresponding DIN(s).
Data entry and check is performed by another pharmacy technician. The
completed compound is finally checked by a pharmacist. A detailed audit
trail has been established to ensure and verify quality assurance. |
